I work primarily in the non-objective style. This allows me to be totally unencumbered by expressive content, allowing the viewer the freedom to understand and interpret my sculpture any way they desire. I only desire that my pieces be visually pleasing forms that convey my primary interests: dynamic movement and visual contrasts.
My media consists of various woods and soapstone, which I carve and assemble.

As Sculptguy, I specialize in creating high-quality, unique pieces that showcase the aesthetics of form. This design in pear and soapstone is inspired by the natural world and crafted with care and precision.
I pride myself on using only the finest natural materials, such as woods and soapstone. This piece is carefully crafted by hand of soapstone and cherry, and it is truly one-of-a-kind.
I use natural materials like crepe myrtle sourced from the local environment. This ensures that each piece not only looks stunning but also has a connection to nature.
I take pride in my creative process, which involves careful planning and execution. Each piece I create is a reflection of my artistic vision and dedication to quality.
Sourcing high-quality natural materials is a key part of my jewelry design. I sculpt a pen shell for this piece that enhances the beauty and uniqueness of this wearable sculpture.
I've always had a passion for creating beautiful jewelry. My focus is on crafting wearable sculptures that reflect my creativity and the natural beauty of the materials I use.
Form. I am all about the aesthetics of form.
The forms I sculpt are inspired by the forms I see in both nature and in the built environment. I don’t pull those forms out of their environment and simply apply them to my sculpture. Not literally. These formal concepts are deconstructed and manipulated in my mind. Then I consciously and subconsciously create the shapes and forms of my sculpture.
If I can make the viewer want to actually touch the sculpture I made, I’ve been successful. I intend that my pieces be sensual (not in the sexual context) and instill a desire for the viewer to caress the form. This includes my “Wearable Sculpture”, my pendants and earrings
Yes, I’m a formalist sculptor who cherishes the aesthetics of form.
